I am an avid reader, particularly the classics and history. I love gardening, the company of trees, animals and my human friends. My politics range widely and conform to no known label. Solidly in middle age, I find myself further and further estranged from the over-worked, under-thought, hyper-consuming lifestyle of this age.
I have learned to respect the dignity of working with my own hands and have found awe in the magic of creation. I find myself longing for simpler days and mourning the loss of so much folk wisdom, poetry and simple joy.
